About Public Democracy
The Public Democracy Project exists to deliver impactful outcomes and sustainable solutions that push us closer to more equitable and just systems and policies. We are an all remote team that works primarily, but not exclusively, in areas of civic engagement, health equity, economic justice, environmental stewardship, faith-based organizing, and diversity in AI. Public Democracy (PD) is made up of two distinct organizations, a public benefit corporation and a 501c3 non-profit, that work in concert to achieve mutual goals. Three defining characteristics of PD’s work are:
We ground every project in the belief that every person has value
Our initiatives are designed to reach and empower communities traditionally excluded or discounted
We employ strategies that build data around undervalued communities, intentionally affect algorithmic understanding and referral, and measure success by real-world outcomes
Our internship program offers three specialized tracks: Communications, AI & Digital Marketing, and Data Science & NLP.
Please read through each description to determine which is the best fit for you. In your application, indicate which track you are primarily interested in the subject line.
